Get a Bird's-Eye View of Disney World
with Satellite Maps

Satellite maps have added a new dimension to Disney vacations planning.

Call me old school but I am a big fan of using "old-fashioned" folding city maps before I set off on a trip. I like getting the big picture, a lay of the land - if you will.

When I have a mental picture of where my Disney hotel is compared in relation to the theme parks and monorail or buses then I feel more confident with my travels.

Likewise, maps of Disney World are very useful for planning my journey through the theme parks.

I recently discovered that using the new satellite technology for both of these phases is both fun and helpful. I think I've become a convert!

The level of detail is just amazing. And if you have an Apple iPhone or Android device you can find apps that give you the ability to take these maps anywhere.

Already there are some great Disney Apps that include Disney World maps and incorporate other information that is helpful to the Orlando tourist.

Looking at Orlando from above gave is so much more realistic than plain paper. Use the map below to zero in on where you plan to stay and the sites that you plan to visit.

Share the maps with the kids so they can gear up for their upcoming vacation. Not only is this a great planning tool - but it is a wonderful learning tool as well.
