Get a Free Disney Ticket on Your Birthday in 2009!

It is all part of the "Celebration Vacation" travel trend promotion that is going on now at Walt Disney World.

The folks at Disney have realized that people are taking their celebrations on the road. And what better place to celebrate than the Magic Kindgom?!

I mean - come on, who really wants to host a huge family reunion in their own home? Not I!

To kick things off - guests will receive a free Disney ticket to one of the Walt Disney World or Disney land theme parks on their birthday in 2009.

So, how does this work?

According to the DisneyParks website that I mentioned above, here is an outline of the basics:

• Register your birthday—and other household members' birthdays too, if you want.
• Print the confirmation message you receive after registering your birthday.
• You will also receive an email reminder two weeks prior to your birthday, which you can also use to redeem your free admission on your birthday.
• Bring proper ID and your confirmation message to the gate at one of the Theme Parks at the Walt Disney World® Resort or Disneyland® Resort on your birthday in 2009.
• If you are a Passholder or already have a Multi-Day ticket you will use on your birthday, go ahead and register and bring the free admission on Your Birthday confirmation and proper ID to the designated Will Call windows so you can choose from one of our other exciting birthday gifts instead.

Make sure to check out the FAQ's as well. Many important details are addressed here. For instance - ID is required as well as the confirmation. The FAQ's explain what is acceptable.

At first look, this does not seem like people with annual passes or with a multi-day Magic Your Way ticket would be able to take advantage of this offer. But on closer examination the FAQ's list a set of alternatives for people in these situations.
