These DVC properties are ideal for large families or extended stays. So whether your plan is to purchase a few shares or just use a DVC rental - this summary will be very useful.

The Orlando properties at Walt Disney World include these hotels:

• First and foremost, the new Bay Lake Tower opened in the summer of 2009, and is part of the Contemporary Resort. I would love to own a piece of this property! With it's close proximity to the Magic Kingdom theme park and EPCOT center - it makes a wonderful place to stay.
• The Disney Saratoga Springs Resort is another of the Disney Vacation Club hotels. This is quite a large property with walking trails, and lots of living space.
• The Disney Animal Kingdom Villas bring a taste of the African safari to your domestic vacation.
• Wilderness Lodge Villas for the outdoor lover.
• The Disney Boardwalk Villas are right in the center of it all
• The Disney Beach Club Villas are a popular destination
• Disney's Old Key West Resort is also very spacious.

Outside of Orlando there are

• Disney's Vero Beach Resort
• Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort
• and, Dinsey's Grand Californian Villas

As I have mentioned before, the Disney World Vacation Club has taken the traditional timeshare concept and added flexibility. Each DVC member buys in at a certain amount of points, and can then use these points to choose when and where to stay, and even how often.

There is even something called a Member Getaway, where a Disney timeshare can be traded with an owner of a partner timeshare. Thus ownership in Disney timeshares can extend far beyond the walls of Disney World, itself.

Of course, there is the option to try before you buy, making use of Disney timeshare rentals either directly through Disney or through an existing owner is a good way to get a feel for the properties.
