Building the right ticket is key when it comes to planning Disney World vacations. It may seem a bit complicated but the wide range of Disney ticket prices and options are designed to give visitors a ton of flexibility in figuring out what they actually need.
One important thing to keep in mind is that the price becomes lower for each additional day of the ticket.
For example, according to the chart, a one day adult base Magic Your Way ticket is $75 per day. But the same ticket for 2 days costs $74.50 which is less. And the same ticket on a 10 day option is only $23.70 per day.
In reality, this is a wonderful feature because it is practical.
Typically, I would buy a ticket for each full day of my vacation. But I was always hesitant to buy tickets for my traveling days because I was never sure if we would actually have time to visit the parks on the day of our arrival or departure. But now the difference in price is so small that it makes the decision easy.
Look at the price for a four day Magic Your Way base ticket for adults - $54.75 per day. Multiply this by four days and my total cost is $219.00 without options. The same ticket for five days drops to $44.40 per day. Multiply by five days and my total cost is $222.00 without options.
The following table summarizes the example:
Cost Per Day
Number of Days
Total Cost
$54.75
4
$219.00
$44.40
5
$222.00
Would I spend an additional $3 for the option to visit the parks on my date of arrival or departure - even if I don't use it? You betcha!
To add to the fun DisneyWorld tickets come with a variety of add on options.
