Which of the Disney Resorts is Right for Me?

When trying to choose between the Disney Resorts most people start with price.

Conveniently, Disney has divided their hotels into four cost categories:

  • Deluxe Villas
  • Deluxe
  • Moderate
  • Value

It's a good starting point. But there are deals to be had ~ especially in the "off" season.

When I plan my Disney Resort vacations, I usually pick a handful of resorts that I want to stay at, and then look for a Disney World Resort vacation package that fits the bill.

The first step is selecting the right property for me and my family. Each one has a unique theme and can add a whole new dimension to a trip to Orlando.

Here are the choices:

Vacation Villas Orlando: Disney's Deluxe Villas are perfect for large families or long stays.

Deluxe Resorts: These Disney hotels are upscale and close to the parks. Some offer a bit more square footage in each room than the more inexpensive resorts. The themes are whimsical and entertaining and the service is top notch. Moderate Resorts: Not as exclusive as the Deluxe versions, these properties tend to be larger and the rooms a bit smaller. Value Resorts: The best alternative for affordable disney family vacations, these hotels are whimsical and fun.
