The Disney All Star Sports Resort is an
Affordable Choice For Fun Disney Vacations

The Disney All Star Sports Resort is one of the four value resorts on property. Walt Disney World guests that are staying here can enjoy all of the benefits of being a Disney resort guest at a more economical price.

The benefits of staying at the Disney All-Star Sports resort are as follows:

• There are two pools that are fun and refreshing. The Grand Slam Pool is especially attractive to Little Leaguers because it is in the shape of a baseball diamond.
• Like many of the other Disney Resorts there is a playground and an arcade for the kids.
• This property is serviced by the Disney Bus Line - so transportation to the parks is taken care of.
• The atmosphere is totally Disney and perfect for sports fans. Larger than life replicas of sports equipment set the theme. For those who spend most of the day in the parks - this is a wonderful option.

As with Disney's Pop Century Resort - the following downsides to staying at a value resort are often offset by the great price.

• Typically the rooms are small and a bit cramped at only 260 square feet.
• The rooms do not have balconies (which can actually be a plus if there are small children in the party).
• The resort itself is very large and it can be a long walk to the bus depending on which building the room is in.
• There is no table service Disney dining option on the property - and the counter service can become hectic during peak times.

But all in all I think that the Disney All Star Sports is a nice alternative when the budget is tight or when a room is just a place to sleep at night and not a central part of the Disney vacations.
