When you are on a budget, like me, finding cheap disney vacations is the only way to go. Really.
Ironically, the best time to visit Disney World is also the most affordable. It is called Value Season.
Disney divides each calendar year into "seasons".
Right now the seasons are as follows (I have listed a general
timeframe for each season but this will change from year to year.
Check the Disney website for the most up to date information):
- Value Season - Generally January and the beginning of February, August and September, and the beginning of December.
- Regular Season - April through part of May, October and Novemeber
- Summer Season - May to August
- Peak Season - End of February through March
- Holiday Season - End of December
For the Disneyworld villas, the dates for each season are slightly different.
During Value Season a room in one of the cheapest Walt Disney World
Resorts starts at $82 per night for 2008. And that is without even
looking into any kind of vacation packages for Disney World.
And the best part is not the price - it's the crowds, or lack thereof.
A good portion of Value Season falls during the school year. If kids are in school,
they are not at Disney World. Avoiding crowded times provides more bang for your buck.
Without long lines, wait times are less for popular rides. I get to see more and do
more in relaxed environment. Definitely more enjoyable.
I have found that affordable Disney Vacations are all about timing.
