My All Inclusive Disney Vacations Package Experience

I recently indulged in an all inclusive Disney vacations package - and it was fantastic!

My family and I stayed on the concierge level at the Yacht Club Resort and had a blast.

Unfortunately we got off to a bit of a rocky start. Our flight was delayed from our home airport but it still looked like we would be able to make our dinner reservations at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. However, 1 hour into the flight, the plane's radar failed and we had to turn back. Since it was a late flight my fear was that we would be stranded until the next morning - but luckily the airline provided another plane to shuttle us back to Orlando.

Since we had decided to stay on property and take advantage of the Disney Magical Express bus service to get to the hotel - I gave them a call to let them know that we were extremely delayed and would not be landing until 9:30 or so at night. The cast member that I spoke to was very sympathetic and told me not to worry.

Sure enough - when we landed the service was still in full swing and we hopped a bus to the hotel without delay.

But all the restaurants at the Yacht and Beach Club were closed for the night. Since we did not have a car rental - we were stuck with very expensive room service - for 4 very hungry kids - that was not part of our all inclusive Disney package. Bummer. The bright side is that even with the limited selection the chef was able to accommodate my sons food allergies.

Thankfully the rest of the vacation was relatively uneventful. We had purchased the Magic Your Way plan including the dining option. The concierge level was wonderful for breakfasts and snacks after a busy day at the theme parks. The meals included in the plan were more than adequate for the rest of our needs. For our family of six - it was perfect.

We did opt for the Disney tickets with the water park option. I was not sure whether this was a good use of our money because the resort had such a beautiful pool area. But our day at Blizzard Beach was one of the most enjoyable out of our entire stay - and I was happy that it was included because we may have decided to skip it otherwise.

The buses to the parks were reliable and timely. We did visit Florida during the Disney value season so their were not many crowds to grapple with which was a plus.
